Does anyone know when the new shows come on?
Jeremy was born in Suffolk, England in 1960 and studied and became a biology major....He continued his studies and began teaching at a British university and also had a fascination with journalism...He began his international travels as a reporter in 1982 with a trip to India after studying Portuguese for three years....He is passionate about freshwater and was intrigued by stories around the world and this led to his discovery by Animal Planet......
Holding up a large Arapaima in this photo...While filming in the Amazon in 2002, Jeremy was struck in the chest by a 170 pound Arapaima and still has a permanent heart defect from this encounter. These fish are often kept in holding pens on the Amazon river and often take flight when they feel trapped or threatened and this is how we was hit by the fish while helping natives try to net some in an existing pen.......
Really good stuff....
I'm as much interested in his background as anything. He didn't spring up with all that gear in hand. How did he start?
I don't watch much TV because I'm an avid outdoorsman....but I lean towards these type of shows when I do just to see what the rest of the world has for fishing....The average person isn't going to relate to these guys but people that think fishing 365 like many of us respect his efforts......
not me jeff, I have one pole and one hook.(haha) Mr. Wade gets made fun of by a lot of others on other fishing sites. Seems to me he knows his stuff. I have nothing but respect for him.
