I asked the question when do bluegills span?

Comment by bluegillboogieman on February 2, 2010 at 12:28pm Delete Comment What I most want to know is WHERE! But knowing their temp requirements is a good start. I would think you could find them spawning in the deep south from March through September though I have been told by some pond managers around my area they bed year round. If temps are of primary importance, I doubt year round would hold true. Then again, if their preferred spawning temp is a range of say 10 degrees, as the temps rise over the summer, or fall in the winter, would they move their beds to deeper water? Inquiring minds want to know. ..

I re-read the rules. Surprising how simple they are and easy to follow. We all make mistakes and sometimes get a little passionate about our favorite little fish buddy. That's why I pledge to re-read the rules all along, to keep my passion at public decency levels. I love this site and our simple rules make it enjoyable for all. I don't care if you re-read 'em or not. I just know it don't hurt me none to do it all along. I'm a backslider from way back.

This was his outlook for this site. And from another backslider ( old fort) I fully agree. This site is about how and where to catch bluegills. But to some of us it a connection to our friend. We share picture of our kids, grandkids and even wedding. The BGBM I know felt the same as most of us. Friends, Fishing, and Family

count me in on this group. The BGBM was a big part of this site. Him & Mayo put me on to fishing with cricket. Like Dan my upbring was a canepole and a worm.

It will only be fun if we make it fun! Lets get to it!

Thanks for starting this, Sharon! The Boogster was a cricket man from the word go, and with good reason. They're the best DanG brim bait there is. On the other hand, I just can't bring myself to go fishing without having some worms handy, even if I only use a couple of them. I guess it goes back to my raisin'.
