Looking for info.

Would like some info on kayaks. I told myself never happen because your setting so low. Now I see they have done wonders with the seats so my interest is back somewhat. I would love to check into them as far as comfort which ones I should be looking at and maybe a propulsion system foot or small electric. Again Just looking for now with a couple back surgeries I want to look long and hard. Strictly for fishing.

Steve i hope you make it up here . I would offer my yard for camping to help off set cost of the trip. I live within 3 miles of lake Champlain there are 2 public acess boat ramp within 5 minute drive of the house.

You guys should've been with me for the last couple of weeks! Just got back Friday from Lake LBJ (Granite Shoals, TX), where I was routinely catching 9-10" bluegills/long-ears/red ears, on a daily basis! What a BLAST!

That's sad to hear Howard. I've always wanted to get up your (one day I will). Seems to be such a beautiful area. Maybe if the economy (and my job situation) gets better, I can come your way next year when the water warms up. Want to fish in Ohio, Pennsylvannia and New York also. But for now I'll stay in the steamy South. Keep warm this winter!

Got my NuCanoe somewhat set up. Went fishing Monday, a bluegill being the first fish in my new kayak

Thanks Howard. Hope to have the boat all set up this weekend, ready to catch some 'gills. Will post some photos after setup. How are things up your way? You live in a place that I've never been to and always long to see.

Well, I did it. After two years of research, looking and trying out boats, I finally ordered a fishing kayak. Just ordered a NuCanoe. Really a great fishing boat. Maybe not the fastest boat of the fleet, but it sure is stable and comfortable. Can be converted to a single boat into a tandem also. Will always have my pontoon, but this boat will get me out into the big water.
