What type of animal is a bluegill?
Two farm ponds - one is very nice, pretty good size, deep, spring fed and has aeration, and we stock it. (It has channel cats, bass, "gills, crappie, grass carp, and other assorted sunfishes)

Second one is smaller, shallower and probably needs to be drained and cleaned out but does have some gills still thriving.

Great while you are in my area, holler if you need anything.
This looks like a great forum, I don't have a lot of guys that panfish around here, they give me heck for fishing for panfish, but I enjoy the fight, the taste and the fact that sometimes they are just plain hard to catch, the bigger ones any way.

Yes, Jay I trout fish more than I panfish, but just because there are a lot of trout streams in my area, I fish for bluegill or bass once or twice a week, and I trout fish nearly everyday for trout, I own a fly shop, on a trout stream, so it is very easy to step out for an hour and go fishing sometimes :)
