I thought they might be a little heavy but they seemed to work out OK for me. Thank you for your words of encouragement.

Comment by dick tabbert on November 27, 2012 at 5:22pm: Thank you for the words of encouragement. I can tell you they were a challenge cause they are so small. Not something I would want to tie a lot of that is unless the fish can't keep there lips off of them.

I know there has to be something better because I kept breaking it as I was wrapping it around the hooks. I think they have a more pliable foam unsure what it is called it but I'm trying to get some of that.

Comment by Allen Morgan on November 27, 2012 at 5:09pm: Rick, a buddy of mine told me he saw a trout circling a Midge like a shark, then inhaling the fly. Midges would make sense, as they are TINY, hard to see, and hatch year-long.

I'm probably going to have to take my fly rod, drop both fly boxes into my pockets, AND LEAVE MY OTHER GEAR AT HOME if I want to catch some trout on the fly. I'll get impatient, watching folks catching trout on spoons and power bait, and switch over. I've only tried probably 4 - 5 flies, instead of throwing the box(es).

It doesn't help that I lost a day off last week, and have to give up a day off THIS week, and don't have the time to try and stop off after work.
