Comment by Jeffrey D. Abney on July 18, 2011 at 2:05pm: Caught a really nice Coppernose yesterday on the "Gizzard Shad" Bitsy Minnow, 1 pound 2 ounces. Out of a total of 50 Coppernose gills roughly 20 were caught on the crank bait shallow and the rest on Crickets. Awesome fish.....

Comment by Jeffrey D. Abney on July 9, 2011 at 4:41pm: Folks the Coppernose are slamming in the cypress shallows in Carolina. We have been doing great this month both on crickets and Artificial. Caught the 1 pound 9 ounce fish on a Gizzard Shad colored Bitsy Minnow!

We picked up about 25 nice ones today with the largest being 1 pound 12 ouces....Great time and a real good fight on light tackle..Already looking forward to the Full moon in July!
