Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The weirdest, nicest, most valuable thing I have found while fishing:

In my case, it was a water moccasin in my grandfathers OK pond. I caught it twice, the first time no one believed me.

?! Caught it with a fly? I would be walking on water if that thing slipped by me, and greeted me while  I'm in my float tube.

I just mentioned this in the post I just did, but I pulled in a tangled mass of fishing line with about 5 lbs of weights, jigheads, and hooks all bundled together.

I once re-caught a pole that went over the side months before.  IT was weird and nice all at the same time.

I would have to say we meaning the wife and I were fishing a state pond in Ohio and it was grown up a bit. She was fishing a spot and I'm like a kid I'll make a few cast and walk down and continue till I catch a fish. I think I was away from Linda 15 minute and all holy terror broke loose and she was screaming and screaming and I couldn't make out what she was saying cause she was screaming so loud and I was getting concerned so I ran back to hear her say snake, snake, snake. I told her it wouldn't bother her and she said you don't understand. I said understand what and she said I caught a snake. I told her no you didn't she said pick my pole up and you'll she, so I pick it up and sure enough she caught a black water snake and I broke out laughing and she got mad at me but for me running through the weeds to get to her she got the last laugh cause I got the chiggers.
