Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I couldn't put it off any longer. Hopefully, these will help me tie on those tiny little jigs, and allow me to see all the details I've been overlooking.

Not only do I have to get used to wearing glasses, but they're bifocals.... I hope they get better, because right now it's very awkward to try and do anything.

Good luck Tony. I know how you feel. Been down that road also. Took me six months to get use to bi- focals. But in the long run, it is worth all the trips and mis-steps.  I bought some Cocoons to fit over my glasses. With them being polorized, it makes all the differnce while fishing.

Tony

I agree with Steve.  Walmart has polarized sunglasses that wil go over your glasses for twenty bucks.  If your have trouble with your glasses slipping down your nose, go to wedgees .com.  They have neoprene sheaths that go on the ear pieces of your glasses and keep the glasses from slipping down your nose.

I could never get used to bifocals. For distance, I wear very narrow lenses that let me look out underneath them for very close work.  While working, I wear "computer glasses" that are sharp in the 18-48" range. Farther away, they are out of focus but better than my uncorrected vision.

For really close work and reading, it's no glasses at all, although I can see the day coming when I'll need some kind of magnification for tying.

Tony it don't get much better but if you want to see you will have to wear them. I the summer you sweet and your constantly pushing them back on your face. In the winter you'll be outside working and come in the warm house and they get all fogged up. Now your out in the boat they do have sun glasses that clip on but you may want to eventually buy a pair of UV protection with polarized lenses they are a must on the water. You can see lots better whats in the water. Welcome to the four eye club there are many of us.

Hope your getting accustomed to your new accessory. I hate mine but I come to the realization if I'm going to see to put my fishing line through the hook eye I will have to cope with them. I will get better but there will be times! What will really be obvious and you have to be careful is walking down stairs, be careful. Later

Thanks Dick. I'm trying to give it some time, but it's pretty frustrating.

Gotta love new glasses. I always have fun trying to climb steps that arent there.

Nice tool! Don't worry, it's the age thing. I'm heading into the same arena with you pretty soon. Looks like I need to eat more antioxidants-rich foods to slow the ocular degradation down a tad. Hey, imagine yourself as Clark Kent. Glasses as a disguise, until you take them off to become Super Gill Hunter.

No Leo thats Super Gill Slayer.
