Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I recently got a large lot of size 6 and 8 Sproat hooks. Along with some other good luck fnds, I’ve gotten some extra tackle - so I'd like to share the wealth.

After talking with Dr. Bruce Condello, benefactor of this site, it has been decided to run a little contest for the younger members of BBG.

Here is how it will work. Just answer the questions below about our favorite fish, the Bluegill. Send your answers to me by private message here at BBG, no later than midnight EST,  Saturday, Feb 25, 2012.

Whoever is first to get all the answers right will win a prize package of 40 EACH of these hooks and a SECRET bonus prize. Second and third runners up will also receive 15 each of the hooks and a bonus prize, selected for them. You can use the hooks on your own spoons, the way Bill “Musky” Modica has shown us. Or just fish with them any way you want.

The contest is open to any member of BBG under the age of 16. It’s okay to answer under the account of a grown up member, too, so don’t be shy. Adults, you can help by getting your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, etc. involved. So let’s hear from all the young members here at Big Blugill – show us your stuff!

GOOD LUCK!

1. Bluegill are bubble nesters - True or False?
2. What is the scientific name for bluegill?
3. In what year was the worlds record bluegill caught?
4. What is more common as a bait for bluegill, worms or pizza?
5. What do Bluegill feed mostly on in the wild, aquatic insects or plants?

What he says..can we split now? LOL

What he say can we split 3 ways. Oh I forgot this is for the younger members like in age.

Let me remind everyone to enter on behalf of a kid! And in a PM! LOL

Well, the contest has ended, as of last night. Turnout was, in a word, lackluster. Aside from Regina del Toro, only Leo and Dick responded! Sorry guys, but you don't count LOL

Sadly, Regina Del Toro failed to respond per the instructions, so she too has been disqualified. With no one else entering, well no one wins. Sorry.

JUST KIDDING! Ill be sending out the goodies to Regina Del Toro - as soon as I get the mailing information. Thanks, everyone.
