So my weekend fishing is over with bad weather promised for Memorial Day…..All of these crickets have now been used, catching 113 total fish Saturday with three people fishing and 108 total fish caught this morning by a friend and I…..basically this case worked out to roughly seven “tubes”  and we didn’t run out of bait either day……great weekend on the water…..

Thanks Mike…..yep, I think the Mason Dixon line is the true divide…….worms work but crickets are much cleaner the hotter it gets……

That's all we use for bait here in North Georgia.

Understand John……I’m not sure they’re used a lot up north….they are a staple in the Deep South and Southeastern States….we caught 113 total fish today and used about 300 crickets overall…..little fish will just tap them to death but when you’re fishing in quality waters the small fish don’t get a chance to find it……we caught a handful of fish on the jigs only today….

Only use plastic Cricket Burke imitations or Tabbert ties. I've missed out on live cricket fishing .Sounds good!

Don't forget to show us the results, Jeffrey.

This species will jump but they typically like to crawl so an open container with card board egg crates is the ticket and then I catch them and move them to my carrier……..dead crickets are a result of pure numbers, I fish with them as long as they haven’t dried out….see them collecting on cut potatoes to get moisture…..been fishing with them since I was a Child……

How are they not jumping all over the place? Dead Crickets?
