Thanks Jeff and hope you folks are safe out west! We have a few resident "Northerns" in these brackish waters so it could be a Northern or maybe a mix.......I could see the new penny shine in the forehead but it is worth the thought..........I will add another picture of the fish right before release but it still may not be convincing........I don't see the fin highlights around these waters locally but who knows.....like you stated , the colors were very cool.......

Doesn't look like a coppernose.  No light tipped fins, or gold above it's eyes.  Is this a 'Northern' BG Jeff?  Great colors though!
