Below is a sample of what I call a cricket spin…my belief is that the rubber legs a
ways creates more bluegill bites…I go one step further and tip it with a live cricket…..I must have caught 10,000 redbreast on this catalpa worm color in the 80s , most were on the Edisto River…..some on the PeeDee River system as well….
I love this…….we throw a cricket spin more often than a beetle spin but both are very effective……I use to tip a cricket spin with a live cricket to catch redbreast in our fast flowing dark rivers in eastern South Carolina……it was a good time when the bait got locked up from a strike……
