It has been a treat to tie on your craftsmanship Dick……the Jelly Jigs you gifted us several years back are a family favorite and we enjoyed fishing them so much, the hooks on those jigs were some of the best I’ve ever seen…what a fantastic hook set ratio on those jigs…shout out to the champion jelly jigs…..

I'll be tying up some more grass shrimp since my box is void of them.

Glad the shrimp are working for Jeffrey you make me enthused that much more. I made up some newer ones and changed the dubbing to Ice Dubbing and Lazer Dub which I got at Janns Netcraft. This dubbing gives off much more sparkle which should catch the eye of the fish much more quicker. I'll post some pictures later. Again thanks for your summary it is greatly appreciated.

Grass Shrimp that hatched out this past Spring will reach sexual maturity in coastal North Carolina rivers and marshes starting in late August and carrying through the Fall......this will be the second most active time of the year for these huge populations of shrimp and in turn becomes a great time to match the forage, often resulting in some of the largest gills I catch all year.....I eagerly await a new order of River Critter grass shrimp from Jim Gronaw's collection and was very excited by the ones Tooty and Dick Tabbert have produced.....it'll be a win/win time on the waters.......
