Better question..20 words or less for folks wanting to catch bigger bluegill
around here,sneak up on um they spook fairly easy
Crickets! If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I seem to recall the world record bluegill fell for a cricket. Guess he didn't know about that artificial stuff.
Light line, longer ultralight rod, sentive floats, fish shallow to deep Fresh live bait and 1/80 oz jig/ gulp maggot
crickets!! experiment with depth until you find the big ones!!

Research the fish,the area and tactics (past and present.) Keep asking question and never give up. -------Crickets------Waxies------jigs-----
Use paper wasp larvae. Pull down nest, peel off tops, throw out adults and fish larvae.....
Bobbers, grubs, and patience. Flies, fly rod, weeds lines, and patience. A rod, patience and a little luck.
