Do you love big bluegill?

Hey i was wondering if anyone knows how to make ice fishing jigs for panfish and crappie. What would i need and what are the steps. Any input would be appreciated. thanks

Are you talking about teardrop or rocker type jigs?Janns Netcraft has several types and sizes of blades that you solder silver or gold aberdeen hooks to.I use a small set of forceps to clamp the hook and spoon together,then heat the spoon and hook with your solder iron while feeding solder slowly into the cupped side of the spoon.I use 60/40 rosin core solder.I have some that have just enough solder to hold the hook and a few I used more solder for more weight.
Bryce... It can get expensive getting set up with molds and the such. There are lots of unpainted lead jigs out there and many different styles. Look around on the net...
That's where I get mine.

You may want to buy a few different styles already made for you. See if you like the results and how they fish. If you do... then make the investment into the necessary gear. Fly tying vice... different threads and materials etc.
