Its like those old PA Angler issues Ove been reading.
YOU posted one with an article about pickerel, and that led me the entire
collection.

Now these. Now we can add educator tonyiurnother list of accomplishments.

David can you post the PA Angler link here ? I remember you doing that and checking it out .I also have links to old fishing books online links  over at 'The Piscatorial Pursuit of Perch ' group .

Hey Scruff...I used to write for the PA Angler back in the 80's and early 90's...I'd like to see that link as well!

Just for my fellow friends: here you go. The go all the way back to the 1930s

Thanks David .I searched for google Outdoor Lifes but didn't get anything . I'll try Fishing Facts magazine next ! nothing for Fishing Facts darnit !

I like the Walleye Pike mention in the Jan 1932 issue ! An 8 lber caught 1/2 mile south of Milford PA. That's only 1hr,20 min. from here! Using Eels for bait too! Great stuff David!!Thanks again!

In especially like some of the terminology.
Long about the 1940's, the fly tying info starts to get quite descriptive, too. Good drawings.
Most of all, I think it's cool to learn how they did it then. It's encouraging to know that without all of our "techno" gadgets, its still man and fish.

Absolutely .The nostalgia from the 50-60's for me is enticing too .

I think we have better tackle now, but the knowledge they used to catch fish is the key.

Who remembers 'TAPS TIPS',in the old Field and Stream Mags .I do and I always liked that feature!

thanks john-many things in those pages are now fishing gospel.
