Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Great combo to have, but you need to use it to their max potential. I mean, max potential.

Carl, I've talked to you earlier today about utilizing the contrast and brightness of both the grayscale and color units to see in the sun-blinding/bleaching environment. I have that problem in the past with my Humminbird grayscale 718 as well, but I noticed that utilizing the combo of both reducing the brightness and max out the contrast level, I can still see my combo coming back perfectly, even with the sun is beating on my screen. Of course, wearing a polarized sunshade helps drastically, while looking cool as a geeky cucumber.

By the way, I need to help me identifying your transducers' model numbers as well. Without them, it's nearly impossible to fine tune your power outputs for maximum detailed info.

You are well verse in moving about your units' settings. So, if you have any issue getting to the settings, let me now Carl.

For the Mark 5X DSI, suggestion from me is to start the CONTRAST level setting between 20 to 50, while LIGHT settings between 7 to 10 in sun blinding/bleaching environment. Stronger the light, while contrast is dark, the info comes back nice and dark, with solid info return that's easy to see.

Now, worst come to worst, you know you can makeshift a sunshade hood for your fishfinders right?

Leo;;  I just found out;; bass pro is having a sale on a lowrance elite-7hdi;;  and a elite 5 hdi!!  save a hundred bucks on either unit!!!;;  sale ends oct 19

Man, you sure know how to make a guy feel a bit behind with techs on his own vessel..don't ya? LOL

Make sure the unit is truly equipped with an MMC memory card reader, which exceed more than 16GB in size. Anything less is unforgiving.

chances are  this is a clearance sale; to get rid of their excess;; wonder what is coming up for next year!!

What do fish look like on a Lowrance fishfinder.
