Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Hit up Puddingstone last weekend and had a great day in my tube slaying the gills. I had a 20+ day and there half were palm size or better. On ultralight tackle it was a blast and worth heading back to soon.

Nice fish, Jeff.

I want to try Puddingstone soon and I do not have a tube or boat.
Are the gills showing off the shore also?

James
Ya James I found all of the just off shore in about 2 to 5 ft of water from 8am to noon, an hitting just about anything you but in the water. Location was Sailboat Cove
Okay.
If they are still hanging on the shallow water, I can have some chance from the shore fishing. Thanks for the good information.

James
nice fish Jeff. i like the second one the best. i wish i knew of a place that i could fish that had lots of bgill.
There are plenty of places, just keep working it and you will find them soon.
never fished the pudd but heard the fishing for panfish is good. Not the largest fish but good fishing
Yes it can be good there, I always fish sil boat cove from my tube and have had some good days, I heard last summer that someone had a caught a 2 or 3 lb. black crappie out of the same area.
I did not see it but, I asume it is possible.
i seen the picture, it might have been a little over 2lbs, very nice fish for that lake. Jeff , do you have a friend named chris?? I think i fished with you before at perris. I'm hooked up with many southern california fishing sites.
that means i'll need to get a resivour licence this comming spring and next year a fishing licence.
nice looking fish I bet you did have a blast. Fry them puppy up.
I'M USUALLY THERE RIGHT WHEN THEY
COME IN FROM THERE WINTER NAP....

I'LL BE THERE ON SOME RECON AROUND
THE SECOND WEEK OF FEB,,,,

COOL FISHES!!!!

CM
Second week of Feb you say, do you tube the area or boat or shore, let me know maybe I can try to meet you out there for a session of gill fishing. I am a team panfish member also.
