Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Looking for new fly gear and I came across the UnHookUm tool. It look's very good but I'am worry about purchasing it because what if the Fish swallows or nearly swallows the hook? Any1 have this tool? It does look like it would save my legs and hackle that my Forceps can't do.

I also would like to know if it works well retrieving deep set hooks. I am more interested in getting the hook without injuring the fish. I use a pair of 8 inch surgical needle holders but get too many fish bleeding that wont live if released.

The price is little steep compare to forceps and hemostats but if it is able to retrieve my flies unharmed and releasing the fish asap it will be worth the $$$

I think the tool is made more for artificial lures and bugs than plain hooks. Here is a past discussion with its inventor:  http://bigbluegill.com/forum/topics/unhookum-hook-remover?commentId...

I just looked at the unhookum site and it seems to be a quality built tool. It looks like it will do everything it claims to do. I may have to ask Santa for one.
