Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Does anyone use Liquid Fusion as a poppers finish? If not, what do you recommend? I thought I posted this topic, but I can't find it.

Thanks,

Bruce

Bruce is liquid fusion an epoxy or a finish. I would think once it dries it would be rock hard therefore I would think to be OK. I'm using a vinyl paint from Jann Netcraft and it works fine. Hope to find my airbrush so I can airbrush again.

Hi All. Liquid Fusion, according to the bottle, is a clear urethane glue. It's non-foaming, non-toxic, 100% water proof, and fast drying. You can use it indoors or outdoors on porous, non-oily surfaces such as wood, metal, stone, ceramic, plastic, glass, fabric and more. That's the claims on the bottle itself. I just wonder how durable it is. I guess there's only one way to find out.

I think what you have if your not happy or feel your paint is less than favorable as far as making the popper waterproof you could add a coat of Liquid Fusion. I feel it is an extra step if you have painted poppers I would think the paints would do quit well by themselves in making your popper waterproof.

Bruce, I use Arleen's fabric fusion as a finish coating on my hopper and frog  pattern that's posted here.  It's waterproof and works well on my foam poppers too.  I use it mainly to seal in the colors and give it a glossy look.  May not be what you want if you looking for a very hard coating.

Bruce let us know how it works!!! I use hard as nails clear fingernail polish!!!!!!!

I used Liquid Fusion and it is a flexible finish. How durable it is, I don't know, because I haven't fished any of them yet. I'll post a report when I do.

I just wanted to report that used a mixture a Toulene and Goop to attach the doll eyes to the foam poppers I made. I covered the entire popper with Liquid Fusion and I had a chance to fish them last week. I missed just 3 bass bass and one even ripped off the rubber legs, but the eyes held firmly. Thanks for all of your help.

Bruce

Thanks for reporting your results Bruce sound very promising.
