Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Easter Sunday after we eat dinner and sice we had no church, I decided to head out and try my luck. Had a great day, about 60 gills,2 bass and 2 catfish. Around 4:45 I felt a large pull on my line and my bobber shot down like a rocket. I starting reeling in and noticed a large catfish. Well to make a long story short, I got him up to the dock and under the dock he shot. Then POW my line snapped. IN the pic you will see a bobber it is still attached to fish. I watched the rest of the day as he would swim around. I found all the good baitfish spots in pond. About an half an hour before I left I was able to dip net him and get hook out of his mouth. Wish I could have got a pic, he was tangled in net a while, I wanted to get him back in water.

Lol that happened to me when I was a little kid fishing with a friend in his grandpa's pond. The line on the rod he let me use was ancient, and as soon as I hooked one of the bigger cats in the pond, my line snapped a few inches above the float.

We probably spent 30 minutes in a tiny row boat chasing that float all over the pond with a net. It was a really amusing day to say the least.

he wrapped mine around post of dock and snap. He moved all over that pond
