Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Folks, here's a little thing I have learnt over the years. Hope this will help some in life....This is why you have to slow down and enjoy the finer things in life such as Bluegill fishing, and loving family and friends more..It goes like this.....

"A person who spends their youth and their good health chasing the all mighty dollar usually have to spend all they have acquired trying to get their health and youthfulness back when they are old and rich"...

"Take a kid Fishing...and..tell your buddies you love them before they are gone. Trust me they want hear you at the cemetary "Good fishing and good health to all"

Well, well - not bad.
Finer things in life = bluegill fishing.  Ah, yes. :-)
The almighty dollar isn't what it used to be.....Bluegill fishing on the other hand, becomes more valuable every day!
Good words. We have raise a new generation, that believes, money can buy happiness and cure everything. Good simple, honest and clean living are what matter.
I value every bluegill trip I get to make and it goes to "priceless" when I get my grandsons out. You're right on Vic and I truly believe you make a great citizen when you introduce children to the outdoors, what better way to start them early than looking for a cooperative Bluegill.

My son and I got our start bluegill fishing...we still ain't right! I caught my first bluegill at age five, and I haven't been the same since!

Ive been working with my son lately, odd jobs and pick up work. Ive come to enjoy it, actually. We havent been fishing lately, but that's next.

Sooo... we've been earning almighty dollars together, getting ready to go fishing. It's an enjoyable twist.

im better at chasing fish than $$ thats why I am so Dayum poor I can't even hardly pay attention!
I think you guys have found the balance of life..Jeffery those are memories that no one can ever take away..And Jim, David and the rest of you are just like me ....RUINED FOR LIFE..It's all about the TUGG at the end of the line ain't it.    LOLRITF
I caught an 11" copper nose bluegill this past Saturday, that was priceless! There will NEVER be a time when a dollar is more valuable to me than going bluegill fishing. BLUEGILL FOREVER
Have you seen the T-shirts with "Life is Good"...we need one that says "Bluegill are Good"or "Bluegill Happens"

Two things come to mind in all this:

1. The peak of happiness is achieved at $75,000 per year.

2. Becoming "wealthy," starting from nothing, is probably not gonna happen.

I recently read a study by a prestigious university that found happiness in life PEAKS at an income of $75K. You can have more, sure; but jumps in income wont gain you proportional increases in happiness. At some point you top out; that point is just under 100G's per year.

Too, in all the history of man and his money, those men who go from rags to riches are a distinct minority. The odds are against it, in fact. The old expression, "It takes money to make money" was coined centuries ago and it still holds true.

The people who do make it big usually have some financial resources or interest free backing to float them.

Balance is the key. Mental and economic balance go hand in hand. You can manage well on less than the optimum mentioned here, but more than that amount won't bring you more happiness. In the end it comes down to a choice one makes. Be happy, or not.
