Great! We'll help you any way we can, Art.
I'm sure you'll do fine.....and if you have any questions just ask!!!
I read about this site in the 'In-Fisherman" magazine! I am glad to find it! I love to fish for the scrappy Bluegills. I also enjoy eating what I harvest, as does my wife! I only keep what we are going to eat, or the limit that is in effect. I also fish for Crappies and all the other panfish speicies. I do a lot of Bass fishing also. The Smallmouth being my favorite! I look forward to meeting and discussing different fishing methods and different bodies of water1
ditto ! Had grand kids over the weekend am behind on my computer duties.
I'm still waiting for my bluegill to get big enough to eat so I'm curious how many you think it takes to make a meal? I was thinking 2-3 that were at least 8", but most people take home more, so maybe I'm wrong.
A meal for how many? Fileted or whole? I think three of eight inches would do for an average fish eater with all the trimmings to go along. If they are fileted, maybe four per adult person. Larger fish would require lower numbers, but not much. We never have a fish fry without a crowd. Always worried there won't be enough, but we usually have a few left over. Like any other meal for a crowd.
I'm with you Art - what a great site to find. I'll probably do okay on the net part, the kids can help me learn how to upload pictures and the like. The hard part for me will be deciding which discussions to read/write to first. Finding the site is better than a new toy :-) Spent last night, my first night as a member, viewing all "Musky" Mod's Lake Geneva fishing adventures. Not a good move, got the adrenalin rolling so much it was hard to go to sleep. Looking forward to my first season of focusing on panfish, bream, bluegill, stumpknockers, etc..... Come on Spring!
yeah I've got the fever big time & In-Fisherman & Crappie aren't helping matters mutch either. Not to many days here in mid mo above freezing & right now the only open water will be around the generation sites. Talked to an old friend out in Az,temp is in the mid to upper 80's.
if you got the fever dont let winter stop ya's get an ice fishn stick and drill some holes in the ice!!!
If you catch small or average size bluegill then fish deeper water! Use a whole small nightcrawler or giant redworm or leech! Do your homework to find out which lake that you have chance to catch a trophy bluegills....contact baitshop, DNR, location fishing forum and fishing club! Keep checking on this great website and learn something! Read everything you can and go out to fish! Fish often make you better fisherman!

In' Fisherman Panfish Guide magazine will come out this April 15th in your bookstore or baitshop!
