Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Robert Boland just gave me a revelation. Most of y'all don't call bluegills bluegill down south, right? If you're calling them bream, then maybe people in the South U.S. may be searching the internet under "bream" and this site doesn't show up. I think that I'll try to start incorporating the word "bream" into a few more discussions and blogs to try to help this situation. Big bream rock, too! :)

oh yes them big O big'uns notin like'em. the blue gill,bream,or as i like to call them gills,are of the sunfish fmly. along with ,Bluespotted Sunfish (Enneacanthus gloriosus)and

I think this is true once you're south of the mason dickson line. After 23 years I'm still not fully countrified, But I have learned the lingo.
We call large males Bulls! large females Sows! Go figure...
Richard we call them bull bream down here too,like you said if someone catches some big bream they will refer to them as ,bull bream.
