Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

 Anxious for some ice news from CT ,anyone got something for us here?I've been catching panfish and a few Bass, nothing very big  yet but tomorrow gonna have my first eats of Crappie and White Perch from the icy waters of New Jersey. My biggest fish from two small home town lakes are :8" BG,11" White Perch,15" Bass,9" yellow Perch ...all jigged nothin happenin' on tipups yet.

CT provides nice ice fishing opportunities for a variety of species ranging from Northern Pike, Walleye, largemouth, Yellow Perch, White Perch, Bluegill, Crappie, Trout and Salmon.

 

I don't set tip ups, I just jig.  My first month of the 2010-11 ice season has been pretty good. 

Yes Mike I see you have been catching some great Bluegills!!
Yeah...they are impressive fish, Mike. Bigger than what I am getting down in Mason-Dixon country.

Very nice array of species!! What about Pickerel Mike?
