Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The morning ice fishing shift was a bust due to the wind...sucks! Going to try later this afternoon.

Thanks Mod for helping out here. I had to step away from the computer for a while! Ice fishing is definately unique. When I was living in Kentucky all those years it was the one thing I missed the most. Now that I'm back where I belong, I will never leave the "ice belt" again!

To anyone who has never experienced ice fishing, I welcome you to Northern Minnesota!! I would be more than happy to take ya out!

You too Musky - some great photos of "fishing shacks."

Lake Bemidji, MN. Sure looks familiar! "The guy aint got a house...." That sounds familiar, too. Thanks Patrick! Brings back some memories.

When we thought late fall and winter brought us wind and sore conditions to fish, I have to humble myself to you guys to deal with such jaw dropping environment. Tony used the phrase, "When hell freezes over, we'll try there too.." he ain't kidding! You guys are one hardy group of fishermen.

Thanks for sharing Musky! And people in my neighborhood think I'm overboard on my fishing!.....Like David said earlier, it's a culture and that's pretty cool! The only exposure I've had to ice fishing is In-Fisherman TV shows and the videos posted on this site.....

No Jeffrey........those were ice-fisherman in their permanent shacks....pretty common in that region....most of them are fairly elaborate.
