Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

For Dick Tabbert. I've never had the pleasure of meeting him face-to-face, but from our dealings otherwise I can tell you that Dick is cut from the bedrock that this country was built upon. I've found him to be modest, unassuming, very knowledgeable, and endowed with a generous spirit. BigBluegill.com wouldn't feel like home without his presence, and we are indeed fortunate to have him as part of our online family. This place wouldn't be the same without him.

I'm asking everyone here, to give a shout out to Dick......let him know what his presence on the forum means to us.

Dick, thanks for all that you do. I don't say it often enough I know, but your efforts are so greatly appreciated.

I'll mention something no one has eluded to bout old Lucky ,"DICK" , also a devoted husband !!!!!! Being a care giver like he is , and so many are , he deserves praise for that too . Also just like to mention in passing has developed into a gifted fly tier of the first order...
DICK IS CUT FROM THE CLOTH OF LIFE and should be the example for all of us to live by.. True gentelman, Family man , and all things related to fishing !!!!!!

THANKS DICK FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIP along the way and we couldn't have a better greeter in my estimation than Dick Tabbert .........

Want to thank all for the kind words. Brings me down to my knees knowing there is so much love. Sorry I haven’t frequented as often as I’m accustomed to but I have been on for short burst and apologies for that I’ll be talking to someone and have to leave abruptly. What a great site I’m so happy to be a part of it as we all are. The site is so filled with knowledge and wisdom and thoughtfulness full of unselfish people who want to help by sharing and great idea’s everyone of them worthy of taking note of that’s what makes this such a great place to be. Since I’ve been on the site I have bought a few fly rods which I really need to learn how to use and tie my own flies with any all my questions answered from the site as well as get many flies sent to me to try out and sorry I haven’t had a chance to try them all out yet but cherish each and every one of them. Although I don’t get out and fish much I’m hoping what I have retained I’m able to share and help anyone wanting to indulge in that little bit of knowledge. I say that little bit of knowledge because like many I tend to forget when we don’t use it but every so often when I hear others share I say to myself yea I use to do that it just got temporarily forgotten. Yea forgotten somewhere deep in my mind but in remembering comes so many good memories and good thoughts and believe me I do get lost in them. I wished I could meet with each and everyone of you and do so cherish all the invites to go fishing. Maybe one day them invites will become a reality but for now it is just cherished thinking on my part. As the site goes I’ll continue to share and make everybody feel comfortable as possible as I was and if someone just wants to talk hey I’m here as many are. I have made many friends from the site each and everyone a cherished part of my Bluegill family and life outright. Each and everyone thoughtful, kind, sharing and I know they will go the county mile for me and you. What a place to be part of LOL

My first memory of BBG was the wonderful greeting from Dick.  I was impressed that he took the time to post it then later realized he tries to make everyone feel that welcome!  Just want to say thanks Dick you are truly an exceptional and amazing ambassador for this site.

Dick is a true gentleman...we are very blessed to have him here!

Indeed without Dick, the BBG home feels quite empty without his presence. He is a generous, inventive, and modest person. I pray that I will have a chance to see him face-to-face one day. It's an honor just to talk him live.

Great idea Tony!......Walmart has a greeter at each store but BBG has the ambassador...Dick Tabbert........very genuine and respectful.......I consider him a friend but I haven't been able to meet him in person yet......great ideas on all things fishing and have you seen any of his work at the bench......incredible is all I'll say.......Dick won't want all the attention but certainly deserves thanks for all he does here on a daily basis.......Thanks for keeping it real Dick and BBG is a better place with you as an active member!
