Shrinking Pond

I noticed as my pond shrinks due to the drought, that shallow nesting grounds are now out of the water and the water has receded into steep banks. My question is "do BG stop spawning because of proper nesting areas"?

Yes, I've seen it done. The main problem is that the CC's will often bully the BG out of the feeding zone. You may have to feed from two areas to kind of dilute the CC presence. Water quality also becomes slightly more prone to problems.
