Identify this FISH!!! (42 yrs of fishing and I am stumped)

I was fishing for bluegills at my favorite private lake.  I had recently spent some time with the owner and got to know the man and he was a good ole boy , like to laugh and drink  and like my self, tell stories.  I learn a lot about the lake and its management and why I am finding so many very large blue gills.  He is introducing breeds and hybrids and some change sex afterlaying eggs and guarge the nest and get very big.  Suffice to say the follwing lecture was long but informative and…

Fought Like a Warrior, Died With Honor, Tasted real good!!

With hunting season a vague memory,  they openned the private lake for fishing.  I was there early , it was cool and cloudy and we had the place to ourselves.  Cindy, my wife, was, as always anticipating our usual luck at this spot. (80 acre lake and we rarely , if ever,  fish anywhere but this one spot on the boat dock.  Here's why.)  If you could fill 2 five gallon buckets…

Welcome aboard Harold. Enjoy our site and use it well. There is lots that goes on here all we have to do is look. Look at the blogs and forums and enjoy I know there is lots to be learned here all we have to do is use it. You are now part of an interesting bunch of people who have a common goal we all love to fish and fish is what we do when the opportunity arises . When we do this thing we all love to do we are learning and when we learn hopefully we pass on that bit of knowledge that we learned to other people. There is tons of information for us to fine tune our skills. In the same token don't be afraid to share information yourself it may be something we can use ourselves to help us in our fishing endeavors. Then in the same token if you have a question don't be afraid to ask. Almost everybody here will answer your question if he or she knows the answer and it may be something someone else wants to hear the answer to but hasn't asked yet there is no question to dumb. There is also photo's and even some videos and we have a chat line which really in my opinion is not used much at all, so don't be afraid to explore there is load information here all learned by sharing and caring people. I know you will enjoy the site because I know you like to fish or you wouldn't have joined you see the interest is there. Where else can you learn and have so much fun doing so. Have fun enjoy the site and GOOD FISHIN..
