With some insights from Jeff Soto, the colors for the panfishes that they like to hammer are black, green, with the glows..so, left and right side get the full jet black nail polish, coated with the pixie gold dust, and hologram UV glow green to reflect the light like crazy for that special attraction.
The middle column is red hot pink with hologram, hopefully attract both trouts and panfishes, mimicking bleeding fleeing fishes. Also matching the salmon eggs that people caught trouts on.
May need to add eyes on all of them.
* Clear UV coat has been added to give the glow worm/flyer flies effect in the lower depths during clowdy days or low light environment.

Joe, you got it. The nail polish can be purchase from Target, or Walmart. Cheap $0.98 or the more expensive version with lacquer infused called "Pure Ice" brand. Trick for the hologram or glitters is, paint on first layer. Let it dry. The metal will absorb the first layer. 2nd layer to darken or increase the color intensity. On the 2nd coat, sprinkle in your glitter/hologram. Let that one dry for 30 minutes. Drip the jigs in the clear gloss coat designed for jigs so they can handle the roughest of abuses. Then let that dry for an hour before handling. The gloss for jigs is this:

But I have the 1oz jar. Easy to dip in, or use a small Q-tip to apply to something. Pretty tough coat. I try to scratch the glitters and hologram off after the curing period, and man, it's hard. The only way I can break through is with a needle nose plier at full strength.

Very nice jigs. Just want to make sure I understand. They are painted with every day nail polish and finished with a clear coat
Thanks
Next time Im at Hobby Lobby, Ill get me some of the glitter.
Hologram glitters can be found at the local Michael's or Joanne's arts and crafts. I got so much of them for my old trout bait creations that I might as well use them for the jigs. Why pay more for something that you can do for mere cents.
They look good, Leo. Im thinking that if you paint the pink ones white, first, the pink color will be much brighter.
Where do you get the 'hologram" glitter?
But I'm left to wonder if the fish actually see so good as to make these efforts worthwhile?
Nice work Leo..I'll be waiting for the sequel....LOL
