Cobras, adders, leopards, baboons - OH MY!

I had wondered what kind of critters you had to watch out for there!!  that's a great looking spot your fishing!!

Comment by Mathew Blakeway on January 11, 2014 at 8:17am

There are quite a few things to look out for:

Cape Cobras > quite common, had to shoot some that took up residence near the house.

Puff Adder     > Seen some giant ones.

Some other snakes, but those two are the most common.

Thieves         > You need to watch your stuff!

Leopard        > Very rare, but sometimes a rustle in the thick bush makes your imagination go wild

Baboons       > Shouldn't be dangerous, best to be watchful

That thought had crossed my mind, too, Keith.

When I'm in a spot like that I have to watch for Cottonmouths. What are you on the lookout for?

Yessir I believe you could catch bluegill out of THAT pond. You must not have to cast too far - thats a lot of scrub growth around the pond. Id get hung up in a minute!
