Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The gill bite slowed but I still managed a few good ones to go with a solid Crappie bite.......

Coppernose in the colder water! I knew it!

Very fortunate Jim......brackish estuaries like the Albemarle Sound in coastal North Carolina are some of the most fertile fisheries in the nation supporting such a wide spectrum of fresh and salt water species......something is in play year round......next will be the Yellow Perch run as we call it here......spawning in January through early March......I'm still learning to catch the yellows consistently......

Great looking size, especially for the cold days. Skill right there.

Thanks Dick and Jim.......you could count the sunfish bites this weekend on two hands but the ones that hit were pretty nice gills.....
