HEY FRANK,

FOR ME the average size is about 10-12" except in the spring and they seem to run bigger then than now. Course I don't normally fish much this time of year so I'll just have to see what happens tomorrow. I either catch em on my bugs , or I do use a tube body called a Panfish Stinger made by Southern Pro, in the 1 1/2 " size blue body white tail or red body White stinger tail.

GOOD LUCK! NEW TO CRAPPIE FISHING. I CAUGHT A COUPLE OF 8" CRAPPIES AT A POND. WONDERED WHAT THE AVERAGE SIZE YOU CATCH & WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL BEST. DON'T HAVE GOOD ACCESS TO MINNOWS. WHAT ELSE DO YOU CATCH THEM ON?

HEY JEFFREY,

MUST BE SOMETHING IN THE AIR CAUSE MY WIFE IS TAKING ME TO SUPPER TONIGHT !!!

WISH we had those flyers here Sir Jeffrey!!!!!!! I"m going tomorrow over to a bunch of stip pits I belong to and try to get some pics of Crappies like I caught there this spring. Weather here has really cooled down nice and been in mid 70's for several days now and am looking forward to getting out even if I don't catch a single fish.

I have been tipping with Live Crickets.......I can ease them in the strike zone with little or no splash hence the name "Silent Stinger".....I was actually fishing a bulkhead today by placing the bait on a cross member and letting it fall into the strike zone....fish were starting to take it right after it fell off the wood....Fun Stuff!

SILENT STINGERS!!!!!!!!!! LOL JEFFREY you and Leo amaze me with the names you guys come up with! Leo's are Bluegill Kryptonite , yours are Silent Stingers !!!!!!! I"ll have to hire you guys as consultants for me on names and uses of my bugs.

I never started using split shot till a couple years ago Jeffrey, because I always fished shallow,1-2 feet. NOw that I fish deeper with the bugs I do use a split shot to reach deeper.

You never said if you are tipping em or not?

I've had a blast fishing the baits.....It's exciting to see the reaction to new offerings....I have added yet another tackle box for my new additions....I can't leave home without the Gronaw Grass Shrimp and the Tooty Silent Stingers now.....I played with some active fish today without a split shot and some of the hits were awesome on the drop.....
