Man, I hate it for you, Tony! That is awesome.

He might've been lean everywhere except his stomach. He's been gorging himself on Aquamax 500 that we feed to the Bluegills. Needless to say he was relocated to our dedicated catfish pond. I counted 6 more that need to be moved when I fed this evening. Ponds 3 and 5 contain catfish, and we are moving them all to pond #4. Good fight on my ultralight, I was by myself so I had to release line freehand to allow me enough room to get to the mule where the landing net was. By that time he was halfway across the pond. A comedy for sure!

Nice cat Tony......he's not eating all the Gills is he?

Nice kitty...is he a little lean? Looks like a lengthy male, with the dark, cobalt colors. Female pond channel cats can be pale olive to dark olive on their sides with white bellies, smaller heads and faint spots on their flanks. They are usually deeper/heavier in the body, especially with roe.

Nice fish though, Tony...looks to have the length to be a '10'

Thanks guys, my family and I feel quite blessed to be able to enjoy our waters. It can be a lot of work, but if we're lucky the results are quite rewarding.

I will definitely share the results of my experiment, just need a couple more components first. There's not much too it, more of a different way of looking at things.

Tony you have some chubs there nice looking fish. I would say your pond is a success, at least what I can see the end results being. Great job I'm quite a ways behind you but our goals are the same. GOOD FISHIN..

Supurb GSF and Cat Tony .You've a right to be happy with those catches!

Well, I'm experimenting with a new technique. Nothing revolutionary, just an idea I've been kicking around. I'm not quite ready to share the details just yet, but rest assured I will explain all in good time.

I will say that I caught several large fish yesterday while experimenting with this method, some of every species that we have in our ponds.

Couple more pics from yesterday... top photo is a male, 17.7 ozs,  bottom photo is a female, 17.9 ozs.
