What a toad! 13" girth was one of the most impressive Minnesota Crappies I've seen.

She was caught in the darker stain water of Vermilion. Crappies we've caught here have always been almost a yellowish-gold color with shades of blue and almost purple in it....they are an absolutely beautiful fish....

That's what I'm talking about! Both hander, proper horizontal angling, and gently let back into the water (hot oil).
