Thanks Troy it is a large private lake in Scott County that I can only fish about a dozen times per year. The owner died a few years ago and the lake has become overpopulated with small bass. It really keeps the bluegill big, but few and far between except in certain times of year. Really fun place to fish. This was a smaller female but we got some 12's this year and a 13 last year out of this place.
Nice shellcracker Jacob, Southern Indiana uh? Public water or private water? I live in S. Ind and that's a dandy for our area. Looks to be eleven inches or so.
If I were there I would have been a permanent solid object in the water.
David thanks so much I was in Southern Indiana where it was 108!!! The boat was untouchable and I had to step out into the water where I preceded to catch about 5 of these beauties and then my most important catch of the day, a 2.5" leech that took a good couple tablespoons of blood. Back on redears though they are so fun and the advice from the discussion that Jim Gronaw started helped me SOOOOOO much.
Amen to that. Its been in the 100's here all week reaching 103 a couple days. I have found out I can't stand the heat like I use to. I do venture out with the dog and head back to the pond and feed them starving fish. The way they eat you would think they never ate before.
HEY DICK, I hope this kid doesn't retire yet!!!!!!!! He has too much to teach us OLD FOOGIES and I"m sure he will soon! Dick we could probably teach him a thing or two also: like were is the cool down button on the air conditioner ,were is the sun screen MMMMMMMMMMMAXIMUM STRENGTH , LITTLE THINGS LIKE THAT!
GREAT SHOT JACOB and can't believe you are out in this heat!!!!! Of course I'm sure it's much cooler 70 miles east of me were you are!!!!!!!
That's nice Jacob.....the boat wasn't getting hot was it?
