Thanks, Dick!  Yes, Jeffrey, it was fun seeing it caught on a rod I made. 

 

I started working with this pond in summer of 2009.  The bluegill averaged about three inches then, so they've improved somewhat.

Thanks, Tony!  It was easily over a pound - I didn't have a scale but estimated around eighteen ounces, maybe a little more.
