So a Stump Perch is just a local name for a Sunfish? You know I ever really followed this fish when til recently cause of my fly rod, There is alot information and techniques for these fish. Jeffrey this just a gorgeous Fish!

This is one of those sunfish species or offshoots that Tony referenced in your Bluegill discussion Angelo......The only place I have ever caught these fish are in Louisiana Bayous.....I have fished several Louisiana lakes and I have never caught or heard of one being caught in those waters.......

Heading to Cypress Bayou tomorrow morning for my final fishing trip of this Louisiana visit....Almost a foot of rain this week but the water should be falling and the bite should be on...........

Funny you show a heron Tim because they catch hundreds of these perch in and around the Cypress shallows............

Yeah, what Bruce and David said: I've never heard of a stump perch either, tell us more!
