Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Fished a 1/80th ounce pink shrimp under a quill at five to six feet near bottom in creek channels.....Down sized with water temps around 52 to 53 degrees.......

Heres a couple of pics, Jeffrey. Mine have zero cool factor, unlike yours, although mine cost about $0.10 each. They start out about 12", and I shorten them.

Sounds cool David...any pictures?......I have enjoyed fishing the quill in cold waters to detect any bait movement...sometimes just a fish passing by......lol......I tune mine so the water line is right at the black and white split...........

I have plastic straw wafflers that I've done the same way.
I cut mine to 4" to aid casting.

Impressive looking fish as away. Quill style no less.

Yep...real easy to adjust the depth and the orange painted tip is very visible......

Thread wrapped eye and an o-ring? Nice!

Thanks Dick.....had a few productive hours today.......it was getting chilly when I picked up......unfortunately we'll see a significant drop in water temps the next 24 hours which will slow the bite even more.......

Got a few quill floats from Bob Garner...the most sensitive strike indicator I've ever fished......
