Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Watch out for that Pink Gronaw Grass Shrimp....It'll get you!

Can't ever fish this region without Frisbee Gills showing up.......This fish was another of the 17 fish that were over 10".......Quality body of water!

Sometimes it takes ingenuity to not spook catchable fish....Specifically from the bank it can often pose challenges that a boat angler might not face.....Nice adaptation to the conditions Jim...too bad you had to leave them but I'm sure you'll visit that lake again soon....

Similar gig from today...I let the wind push a suspended worm on a #8 Aberdeen, 16 inches below the bobber, to nesting fish with the wind at my face, but at an angle that would keep me well away from these shallow fish. Had to leave with them biting like crazy!

They're getting bigger and bigger. You may need a harpoon pretty soon.
