I love to find some Warmouth....great looking fish and probably the easiest sunfish to clean!

Great coloring great looking fish. I found these fish are the first to any offerings as long as they see it.
You know what, I may get lucky either at Big Bear Lake or Jenks Lake for a few battles with the warmouth. Apparently, a few anglers discovered the warmouths being active near an area in the northern shore, where the algae is blooming like a thick carpet. Hope I don't loose my flies.
June through August is peak Warmouth season on Northeast North Carolina rivers.....Looking for a big 10 this season....hopefully he'll be this pretty when I catch him....
Good to see the Warmouth waking up! I enjoy catching these critters, especially on a fly!
