It's either a small Longear Sunfish or a Pumpkinseed Sunfish. My guess is a Longear Sunfish.

Those fish sure fight for there size.  I wish longears made it up to 2 lbs.

I would guess to say it's a Longear x Green Sunfish mix.  Definitely has Longear Sunfish genes.

I say Longear Sunfish.  Or maybe a cross between a longear and redbreast.
