Thank you all.....I get enjoyment out of eating a few gills and releasing the bigger gills alike.....Right now I value the fishing time so I let all the fish go........
Beautiful fish Jeffrey....glad you released a few to fight again another day....i usually do the same.
the gills worst nitemare ( Jeffery) has struck again!! hahaha glad you released a few jeff!!
Look at the thing! I'm surprised you haven't gotten any of these actions on videos yet. They must have been bending your rods left and right.
Yup I know it's hard to change buddy, but back in my bass fishing days they always said dark baits for dark water and the purples are my number one bait to explore new water no matter the water clarity. Now on my upcoming trip I'll be trying various Pink combos to see if they work down there as good as they do for you . I think Pink and Red in the silents is my favorite pink combo so far , and not the cotton candy edition , but Marabou Stinger Edition buddy...........
Thanks Vince......Jim, I always have to overcome the urge to put a bright color on to fish tanic water.....I did catch some nice fish last season on a purple beadhead from Tooty that had white rubber legs.....I just see the dark baits being lost in these dark waters...ultimately I haven't given the blacks, blues and purples a fair test as of yet.....On an afternoon catching 75 fish on pink and white in a few hours...very difficult to change!
Condello says purple and lavender jigs have been the bomb on Mid West gills over the years...I got some tied up, but haven't tried them yet. Good thought!
That was a dandy!! Cool coloring on it too!
Thanks Jacob.....we're working toward the Full Moon....fishing should continue to rock for weeks to come....Banding was cool on this fish....
Cool vertical bars and big in general. You're catching them like crazy
