Appreciate the kind words Gerome.......I'm still very fortunate to fish the Albemarle Estuary.....quality gills and great numbers remain the key to my 16 year run locally............I know where to fish when and it pays off consistently........my advice is to learn the water you fish once it is determined that quality fish are available........

Thanks Tooty.......amen on the cleaning........that's why I cleaned 25 and let the rest go.......it was a pleasant surprise and a lot of fun..........rarely are we able to put six to seven perfect fishing days in a row especially during the dog days........I kept waiting for it to go down hill but it still hasn't...........Even tomorrow looks like a good fishing day despite the heat making a comeback.......hope to go for a little while before some rainy days late this week........

Congrats Jeffrey , ya know lots of folks never see a 200 day , ever . I'VE been blessed a few times with those days and it's a real chore to clean that many , as you know . Nice fish buddy !!!!

Haven't had many 200 fish weekends during August in recent years......the weather was perfect and the water temps had fallen back late week and throw in moving water and the recipe for success was there.......we started casting larger 1/32 ounce jigs and hooked up with several fish but going small with a little telescopic was the key.........released all but 20 to keep the cycle of life going.......
