Thanks Carl.......the Crappie bite has been special this year all the way back to New Year's Day.....I've enjoyed the most hundred fish creels since I often night fished Toledo Bend back in the 80s and 90s.........those trips often exceeded 200 fish with many slabs in the 16 to 17 inch range.......tight lines at depths between 8 to 40 feet in flooded timber.....one rod would catch 50 and a rod just four feet away would not get touched at the very same depth........Unique fishing and I often think about those trips and wish I had the digital technology available today....
that's a wall hanger Jeff!! we don't get slabs that size!!
Thanks Tooty......I don't lake fish often so I miss out on the largest average Crappie that North Carolina can offer in it's many man made reservoirs.......but 12 to 16 inch class Black Crappie never disappoint......and I know exactly where to find them at any point in the year so that's cool too......
Congrats buddy ya don't get them every day , or at least I don't ......
Great looking slab Jeff
Look at that big forked tail! And also has a "Peacock Bass" head bump. Cool looking crappie!
That's a monster crappie anywhere.
Thanks Jim.......he was all over the place on a 13 foot telescopic........
Bona Fide Slab! Congrats!
