Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Look back at a nice flier. Virginia and North Carolina are the only places that I have caught nice Fliers.

Thanks Glen....I actually say "I'm going Flier fishing" now Jim....lot of respect for a fish that can survive in very low oxygen conditions.....Many other species perish during hurricanes but Wildlife and Fisheries rarely find a Flier in North Carolina during these post storm fish kills....very resilient fish!

Jeffrey...you are absolutely right about the lukewarm fighting qualities of fliers. But they are still a neat fish!

Cool man! I wish we had Fliers in Utah. They look like a crappie painted green. Love the pic.

Here's a really nice Flier next to a solid Coppernose....This Flier was gut hooked and could not be revived in the extremely hot weather that day......

Big bluegill are my favorite but I will take some Fliers this size. They just don't fight very much compared to their Bluegill neighbors!
