Has anyone tried these plastic terrestrials on a flyrod or casting bubble? : http://www.cremelure.com/store/store_sub.cfm?Category_ID=5   I've not given them a fair shot but have a bunch .Hope to apply them successfully soon .Seems like a summer thing .

So Its a choice of Hard body thread ants or soft bodied dubbing ants . Two different styles. Wonder which one the Gills and RBS will crunch down on the hardest or first? Both work ,I know that . Leo, look forward to your report .

I'm so sorry Leo. I didn't take notes on this one and actually forgot I made them. I do think they are #12 in a 3XL hooks and promise my note taking will be much better after today.

Deadly ants. Will be making a few for next month's trip. Is that a #6 or #12 hooks Dick?

I believe I 've used the two smallest black , and Red ant for the RBS I caught .

Dick ,here's a comparison pic between your ants on bottom row  ,bodies made from dubbing ,and the unknown origin ants I had been using .The ones I had have are built up thread bodies and are harder .I guess a clear epoxy was dabbed over the thread . The feather wings look very similar though .

I was wading and fishing a wind blown shore for an hour at midday yesterday and was able to cast up next to overhanging trees. Caught about seven which is good for my sloppy casting !
