Thanks Dick.....We traditionally have a good late Fall and early Winter Crappie bite on the rivers here....best bet is to fish in deep water near where you found them shallow in the spring........The last couple weekends have been tough with passing cold fronts and the associated weather but my efforts have yielded some good fish.....the gills were a little tight lipped on the creeks I fished this weekend.....

Cold water Crappie are in my top five for sure Tooty..........some of most tender fillets you can prepare!.....You have to support these fillets when cooking or they'll break apart with tenderness.......Very tasty......
