Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

First good gill of the year. Went out this evening to the pond for the first time. Got several little ones from the past couple of years' spawns. Ended the short outing with this fish which ties my PB for pumpkingill.

Thanks guys. I believe this is the same fish I've caught in the pond the past few years. He's got some unique blue markings on his breast and and far as I know there aren't any other p-gills of this size in the pond. Only had about 15 minutes to fish before dusk so I ended on this fish just before the sun went down.

Yep Slip. It's a 1/124 oz. jig about 3' under the float. He was suspended in about 6-7' of water next to an old Christmas tree.

Didn't get a water temp, Jim. I need to get a thermometer I can keep in my bag.
