Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This was the best of 10 Bluegills taken on Gulp 1" Minnows. Would like to get into 8+ range consistently with Bluegills like I use to at my community Lake but I suspect meddling with the weed growth and stocking of Walleye and Catfish has hurt these creatures. Not that I mind Walleye and Catfish but not convinced a balance is being achieved .

Thanks Dick! Won't be long till I'm throwing your expertly made Crickets and Ants at Red-breasted Sunfish in the streams and catching loads of them.

Glad you caught some gills John…….trophy bluegill remain a valuable resource……..fortunately for me more people like eating white perch and they are abundant……bluegill are lost in the shuffle and therefore the benefactor of it……
